Open and Affirming: A Commitment to Welcome Everyone No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here at First Congregational of Wallingford! At our Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, members of the church voted overwhelmingly to become an Open and Affirming church and to adopt our ONA covenant. Catch the Spirit Sunday, September 15, 2024 September 15, 2024 is Catch the Spirit Sunday! Please join us as we begin the program year and Church School classes begin. Learn about all the upcoming activites and ways to serve God and the community, and how the Spirit might move you to share your time and talents. Shell Shockt--A Fun Classic Rock Concert for All Saturday, September 21, 2024--Doors open at 4:00, Concert from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Join us for an evening of classic rock music offered by the group Shell Shockt. All in the family are invited to come and enjoy! This is a fundraiser for the church as well as a great way to relax and have fun. Pizza, lemonade and dessert are included in the ticket price. Unity in Faith Food Drive 2024 Septmeber 24, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.-- Once again, congregations and houses of worship across Wallingford will collaborate to hold a town-wide food drive benefiting Master's Manna. Fall Rummage Sale The Fall 2024 Rummage Sale will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3, and Friday, Oct. 4, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. This is a wonderful ministry where you can help yourself as well as others!
